Job Description

Responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house computer systems, troubleshooting user problems, and providing end-user training and assistance as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains system security through strict adherence to user account and access policies.
  • Sets up, maintains, and supports personal computers, telecommunications equipment, and peripheral equipment (e.g., cameras, mice, keyboards, printers, copier/scanners).
  • Installs computer software per user requirements.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software problems.
  • Assists users with equipment issues, decides when service is needed, and schedules repair.
  • Maintains the inventory of personal computers and telecommunications equipment.
  • Provide user support for the initial training on equipment and software
  • Performs other related duties within the department as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must have a basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows operating system.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Active Directory to create/modify network and email accounts, assign access rights, and provide user access to shared network resources.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of user hardware, software, workstations, and peripheral equipment.
  • Must be familiar with iOS and Android-based mobile devices and be able to configure new devices and troubleshoot existing mobile devices.
  • Work independently and with daily supervision.
  • Typically requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or other related certifications are a plus.
