Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the human resources department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining HRIS program and employee records
  • Managing Time Card and Exceptions transfer for Payroll
  • Assist in organizing and scheduling HR-related meetings and events
  • Collaborate with internal customers in the recruitment process of unskilled workers, including posting job openings, screening resumes, doing Employment verifications, and scheduling interviews
  • Assist with the onboarding process for all new hires
  • Address employee queries and provide prompt responses on HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining positive employee relations through effective communication and support
  • Support in benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries, FMLA, STD/LTD & COBRA
  • Assist employees with questions related to benefits programs
  • Prepare and maintain HR documents, such as offer letters, policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with document retention policies
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees
  • Track employee training records and ensure compliance with mandatory training programs
  • Assist in maintaining HR compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Generate regular HR reports and assist in audits as required
  • Translate Spanish communication to ensure important company updates, policies, and safety information is/are clearly conveyed to all employees
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • 2 Years of previous experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar administrative role
  • Basics of HR practices, compliance, and employment laws
  • Experience working in an on-site environment, preferably operations, manufacturing, or warehouse
  • Associate’s degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of HR processes, policies, and procedures
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems
